Nover’s Lightweight Ply is a durable and long-lasting plywood bonded with WBP Phenolic Glue. WBP Phenolic
glue or “Water Boil Proof” is a type A glue bond providing high moisture resistant performance.This hard wearing, moisture resistant, and easy to clean panel is ideal for cabinetry applications where weight is critical; such as in caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, boats and other mobile or moisture sensitive environments. Despite the lightweight nature, the carcass remains incredibly strong, rigid and stable.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Constructed from Paulownia Ply, known for its light weight, high moisture resistance and dimensional stability. It absorbs less moisture than other wood types making it ideal for damp or humid environments. Paulownia is less prone to warping or shrinking due to changes in humidity. Finished with a tough, dual sided HPL skin for maximum durability, ease of cleaning and resistance to wear.
Applications: Superior carcass construction where weight savings are required and moisture is present such as cabinetry
in caravans, motorhomes, RVs, camper trailers and boats.
Limitations: Plywood is harder on tooling compared to other substrate materials such as MDF or particleboard. The plywood is not designed for exterior use. All sides must be edged to ensure adequate moisture resistance. As this is “Run of the Mill” plywood, it is not recommended as a face material or where the aesthetic appearance of the surface is critical.
